Highlights from a Porcelain Veneer Preparation

In this video, I’m sharing key moments from a recent lower veneer preparation case, where I demonstrate some of my updated techniques using intraoral scanning technology.
With the increased precision of intraoral scans, I’ve adjusted my retraction cord technique to enhance margin capture. Rather than removing the second cord, I’m now leaving both cords in place—using a smaller second cord (#00) alongside the first (#000)—to ensure clean, accurate scans of the preparation margins. This approach, combined with microscope-aided margin finishing, helps to improve visualization and refine outcomes. Excellence may be the goal, even if perfection isn’t possible!
